Are posts/PMs in above time frame gone forever? No biggie as long as some of the glitches are gone and the forums are working.

Looks like somebody had to restore to an earlier date, I know the feeling because I've had to do it too.:blue:

Apparently, the problem resides with vBulletin. iboats is in contact with them and has given vBulletin the necessary information to fix the problem. You will probably continue to see errors until vBulletin does their thing. Even then, there may be minor glitches that will need to be addressed in-house. It's out of iboats hands at the moment....... Thanks for your continued patience.......

This is not what we will see soon. They battled so much stuff, and this is here for us to use until vBulletin fixes it for them. For now it is somewhat out of iboats' hands. Hang in there!!! :)

I agree, nwcove. More stable now. I get posting errors, but the post completes eventually.

Whadda you mean, Musky. Everything I post is important! Well, except for Dockside and the other forums. :boink::neglected::tape2::rugby:

This will be a long battle, vBulletin isn't what it use to be before Jelsoft was acquired by Internet Brands. I wish the best of luck to iBoats!!

I'd be on the phone with them screaming at someone every day until they fix their crap software... this is ridiculous.. A whole WEEK of posts gone and unrecoverable? IMO that is just unacceptable, as well as frustrating. And it's not stable on my end, by any means. Still can't move between pages without a DB error, get an error every time i try to open another thread, and when trying to post. Not a tech guru, but was there no way to back up the OLD site?!? I'd rather use that while the 'bugs' got worked out of this crap 'updated' one. :grumpy:

I have to agree with bigdirty regarding stability! I find no stability here, many db errors, the unavailable page has changed a couple of times, provides a little variety. I have extended periods where I can't even get on the forums, much less post. Have a few successful posts, but many many posts I finally gave up on trying to get posted! Wasn't worth the effort. I have also lost at least 40 on my post count, not that it really means anything in real life, just a good example of how unstable things are here on the forums. I'm sure they will keep working on it.:blue:

Did iBoats go out on the 'bleeding edge' of software versions with this upgrade.??? I noticed that the latest version of vBulletin is "5" . . . some other forums that I frequent are still back on version "4". The forum is nearly un-useable as it is, so I hope the vBulletin folks can do some magic. I'll probably wait until there is more complete resolution before I go back and update my threads.
