Maxwell Outboards

Does anyone have any info on these?
Apparently they were made in St. Marys, Ont., Canada in the late 50's.
Maxwell was a local manufacturer of farm equipement.
These outboard motors were small 3-5 hp.? & aircooled with possibly Clinton motors.
A friend has aquired one and is looking for some info.

On further research I'm begining to think they may be Clinton outboards with just another name for the Canadian market?

Clinton built motors for a number of private labels.
Montgomery ward,Chief,Sprite,Peerless,Apache,Etc.

Its a Clinton. Showed a pic found on the net of a Clinton to my friend and he comfirmed they were the same.
