maximum rpm

I have a 1993 19 ft caravelle bowrider with a V-6-alpha one drive. Everything is stock. I was wondering what the maximum rpm that I can safely run this boat for water skiing etc...<br />thanks<br />DB

Those are posts from OMC owners. You have a Mercruiser.<br /><br />While there probably isn't much variation, Merc often tunes for higher rpms. Check the Mercruiser manuals.

dfb:<br />The owners manual that came with my boat also has the 4.3l mercruser engine and call max RPM range to be 4,400-4,800 RPMs. This is a 2002 manual. Call a local dealer and see if their service department can give you abetter answer.

thanks for the info. I've haven't gone over 3600 rpm's in the boat. I might try for 4000 rpm this weekend.<br />Dan
