I have a Bayliner 19' Capri with a Force 125. Does anyone know the WOT rpm's for this boat and motor? I don't think I am turning enough RPM's with my current prop. What size prop works well with this combination?

Thanks!
CDC

I have the same boat with a 120 Force. I'm usually at 5000rpms WOT.

I like the 17"pitch over the 19"pitch. There is only a 1 to 2 mph difference but the engine will strain less under full load. Top rpm is 5500, but the 17" won't get you there and I believe you shouldn't go there.

my buddy has the same boat and motor that you do, heavy boat! he has a 15 pitch and a 19 pitch and the 15 still doesn't get him to 5500 rpm but pretty close 5k plus and the boat can be fully loaded with coolers and 9 people and still get up on plane good but tops out at about 30 mph. The 19 pitch really dogs the motor out and it barely hits 4500 rpm with it but with just 2 people in the boat she'll do about 40 so we call it the "speed prop" but put too many people in the boat and she won't plane off. I bet the 17 pitch would be the best all around prop for his boat.

I have a '88 Force 125HP on a 19' Capri. I recently installed a new Tach and tested both 17 and 19 pitch props. I settled on the 17pitch turning 5000 RPM at WOT and get about 38 to 40 MPH. Best Regards
