I am trying to find an owners manual for my 1990 evinrude 90hpVRO. But until then, can anyone tell me what the Max. RPMs are on this motor? I am running 5000rpm at present.
recommended wot operating range is 4500-5500, some run them up to 6000 but not highly recommended. if developes 90 hp at 5,000 . manuals available outboardbooks.com
Those v4'3 are great solid engines. The general concensus is that because of the poor fuel we have now that you should prop it to the high side of 5,500 RPM. Seems that it keeps the cylinder head temps cooler.
