Max load of trailer, engine weight

Hi,<br />have a choice between trailer for 800 kg. load and for 650 kg load (diff. abt $1000). Boat is 545 kg, engine (40hp Evinrude 1992, be40elenj) not known. Suppose engine to be around 80 kg total weight will be around 625 kg. Too close for comfort for the 600 trailer I guess. Anybody know the weight of that engine ? Couldn't find it in my Clymer. Suggestions ?

Reguardless of the engine wieght,<br />The smaller trailer is Too Close to the limit, Anyway........<br /><br />No Limit left for Your Gear........

You estimate 625 kg. Trailer is 650 kg. Leaves 25 kg to play with.<br /><br />Fuel - 10 gal is about 25 kg.<br />gear (life jackets, flares, cooler, etc) - how about an estimate of an additional 50 kg.<br /><br />Puts you at 700 kg already. Around the max I would want for the 800 kg rating and still have some headroom.<br /><br />And ever get water in the boat? What does that weigh?

You guys convinced me...how could I forget the gas and all the little stuff that you have to walk 2 times for before its in the boat !!! Will go for the bigger one. Thanks for the input <br />Frank
