I am looking at a 2007 34 ft Sea Vee with twin 300 Suzuki four strokes. They have 1400 hours on them and are about to go out of warranty. My question is, how many hours are these engines good for and at 1400 hrs, am I loooking at any upcoming maintenance? Is it possible for me to buy an extended warranty to cover major repairs?

Thanks in advance for all input.

Profile? Location? You might be close to someone who can check it out?
Saltwater or fresh usage?
1400 is a lot of hours. Not too many just a lot.
I had a pair of 85's that had around 1800-2000hrs and no major problems.
But they had a mechanic for an owner(makes a difference)
Thats about 40hrs a week.Sounds like a commercial operation? Charter?
Usually the commercial guys take care of their stuff, even under warranty.
Get a GOOD mechanic to check it.Take it to a dealer for a diagnosis.
Compression tests and maint.records
