Mast Compatability?

I bought a 23 foot Mac Venture 23 (cutter)

I also picked up a Pearson 25 that I am stripping for parts...

I haven't measured the masts yet, but they look roughly the same length

Can the Pearson mast be kept for a spare for the mac just in case I ever need it?

The Steps are different, but I imagine you can change the baseplates/modify the mast if needed

Hoping a seasoned sailer can answer this one
