Hello

Mary Island is only accessible by boat.

The website for the island says to launch
from Keewaydin, Grass Point, or Dewolf
Point State Park.

I talked with Keewaydin and it's true you
can launch from there, but you can't store
a car & trailer there overnight (interestingly,
you can store a trailer without a car?).

So . . . . I'm going to Mary Island for a week,
and need to launch somewhere and leave the
car and trailer at the launch.

Does anyone know how this can be done?
It would seem everyone has this need.

Thanks for the help . . . . Brian

Horizon marine has boat storage less than a mile away from Keewaydin. Maybe it's an option? I'm pretty sure French creek marina in Clayton can accommodate you (check bridge clearance). There is also few marinas in Alexandria Bay but I'm not sure they'll allow you to leave car and trailer.

Thanks ericga. I appreciate that you took
the time to help me.

I still wonder though, what everyone else
is doing? They have hundred of campers
there every year, and all by boat. Unless,
it's rented, seems like most of the boats
would be trailered . . . . .

Rig parking spots can be hard to find at French Creek. Lots of old boats scattered about there...

Thanks Bondo and Mischief.

I'm going to try again to contact Mary's
Island, and when I do (even if it's in the
spring), I'll post back here to let you
know what they say.

Also . . . . I'll let everyone know what I
end-up doing, so others will know too.

Thanks again . . . Brian
