Silly season has begun.

Good riddance! Don't let the door hit your sorry arse on the way out.

Mr. Ford, please fire Matt Millen next.

Thanksgiving Day was the worst performance ever fielded by a professional franchise. Totally disgusting.

Any NFL franchises looking for an experienced fan?? Will work cheap!

If you examine his record... what has HE really done?

Ya, ya, I know... San Francisco. What coach couldn't have won with the talent left to him by George Seifert. His real coaching ability... or lack there of was on display for the nation to see last Thursday. No offensive game plan at all. No blocking. No effort. A defense that was respectable prior to the injuries... coached by an ex-head coach BTW.

He's had two and a half years to make a difference. Well here's your difference... they are worse than when he took over.

Go ahead Green Bay... he's all yours! :p

we dont want him! like i said i believe we need a new coach, sherman just is not up to it, he mightn make a good position coach but not a head coach or a cordinater. same with mooch, maybe a a great qb coach. not much more.

Re: Mariucci out as Lions' coach

I am with FSHKPR, any coach that gets hired in the next couple of months is getting a pretty good deal. They get a top five draft choice and a bunch of players off of injured reserve. Brett Farve could return if he wants.

Holmgren came out of nowhere to be a great coach, and we need that kind of mentality in selecting our next coach. I would love to see someone in the mold of Bill Cowart of Pitt.

Right now, we stink.

Oh ya they can.
How long have the Texans been around?
The Lions are older than dirt.
Haven't had a winning season in years.

At least when Wayne Fontes was around, he had the ability to get the guys motivated. He got the most from the least talent. It is very obvious that Mooch's guys quit on him... and that's a sad commentary on the coach as well as the players.

With Fontes they always seemed to start slow and finish strong to just get into the playoffs..........I still remember where I was when the Pack held Sanders to negtive yards in a playoff game
