I have a problem with the above engine. I am trying to connect my controls. The throttle control connects no problem. However the gear cable with clevis on doesn't reach the pin it needs to when the engine is neutral and the controls are in neutral. I have adjusted the cable as much as I can but it still doesn't reach. I have then investigated and believe that the slider on the shift bracket is not in the right place when in neutral. My question is can this position be adjusted. I have removed the carbs and taken a photo of the top of the shift rod, can the position of the bracket be adjusted. Also I have noticed an arrow on the bottom cowling right by the linkage as pictured. Does anyone know what this arrow means?IMAG0673.jpgIMAG0674.jpg

Thanks

Should have added, on this engine the gear rod is the twist version.

Anyone????

Or can someone tell me how to remove the lower unit then. There is no turn buckle or gear rod linkage halfway down like you find on a up/down gear change rod?
