Just picked up a smoker craft with a 1993 20 HP Mariner 2 cycle. Engine sat for several years, hard starting, so I rebuilt the carb. Still hard saturating and noticed intermittent spark on bottom cylinder. I don’t have a DVA meter but ohm values are as follows:
Stator- black/yellow to ground= 3190; black/white to ground= 139
Trigger- brown/yellow to brown/white= 74; brown/yellow to ground= open; brown/white to ground= open. All close to OEM values. Coils both ohm out to equal value.
I did get boat running well enough for a water trial- idle rough- acceleration rough- running awesome at full speed? Tried several times with misfire/popping mid RPM range and fine open. Magnets on flywheel seem okay from visual, bu I did not remove yet. Any help/suggestions taken- thanks in advance!
