Mariner serial# -> year?

Hi

Got given a 4hp long shaft mariner a few days ago, no details as to how old it is.. serial # 09656884
I need a service manual for it, but as I dont know how old it is I was having problems getting one.

Any ideas?

Check the number again it should be 2 letters and 6 digits

OK, sorry about that it's a Belgium built Mariner built in 1991 with a 20" shaft. Didn't even know there were any small Mariners built out of Japan.

8250 4hp mariners rolled off the production line in 1991. Must have been in demand for trailer sailors!
