Just picked up a 99 legacy sea era with a 99 200 mariner offshore. Had a question about cooling system. 1st. the ''pressure'' guage on the dash, is that for water pressure in the cooling system? If so what kinda pressures am i looking for?
2nd. Took it out today and the overheat alarm came on, I shut it down and let it sit about 5 minutes. Started back up and no alarm. Headed in and it came on one more time. Just it down and let it sit a few minutes. Fired up and no alarm.
Made it to the ramp and as I sat in line :rolleyes:with engine idling I noticed no water pissing. PO doesn't know when water pump was changed last. What is a good repair manual for these engines?

Re: Mariner question

A factory manual is by far the best but cost a lot more. Sure sounds like you need to replace the impeller.
