I have had to replace my Mercury 80 with a Mariner 90 because of corrosion in the power head.<br /><br />1) Mariner 90 No.9518218 To help and ensure the same thing don't happen with the new second hand engine, can anyone tell me where the earth links are or should be, to link all the separate assemblies for the zinc anode to work in reducing the corrosion.<br /><br />2) The engine was purchased with a Quicksilver control. It has a trailing lead with a electrical mutlipin socket from the control below the key switch. Can anyone explain what its for, could it be for the Rev counter and electrical supplies.
