Mariner 75 hp no spark

I have an 75 hp 3 cyl mariner that has no spark on any cyl I unplugged the black/yellow wire still no spark. The rectifier was melted in it so I replaced that. The stator has green/ white wire white/ green wire they are both open to ground and each other the 2 yellow wires from the stator to rectifier are also open I'm guessing the stator is bad but wanted to know if I'm checking it right before I buy one

Sure sounds like a bad stator, but probably a good idea to review the CDI Electronics troubleshooting manual:

Hi Mike and :welcome:

Resistance checking and finding open circuit is usually a bad sign, so yes, I'd say the stator it kaput...

Also, what is the engine serial number and I'll chase down a stator part number for you.
