MARINER 60hp year 94

So I have recently purchased this engine. Iv hooked up all the controls , BUT when I selected FORWARD it goes in reverse.. the controls are correct and even on the engine the gear has selected F.. but seems prop is sending me in reverse.... I'm wondering if it was a dual engine and it should have a l/h prop on????? Please I am completely out of ideas..HELP

I believe the model number should tell you if it's a left hand motor or not.

Did it have a prop?

Yes cam with R/H PROP that was battered

Read this thread, it may tell you what you have but most likely the cable in the box could be wrong. Hope it helps.

PROBLEM solved .. it was 1 tooth out and assorted thank everyone
