What was the first year of production for the 3 cyl 60HP Mariner?
Mine is on a 1984 16' tri-hull Thundercraft Magnum.

And what is a 3 cyl Mariner's approximate weight?

Thanks,
Bill

Re: Mariner 60 HP question..

They first made them in 1984. If you post your serial number, we can confirm the year.

Dry weight is about 190lbs , including power trim.

Mariner 60 HP question (cooling system)

Mariner 60 HP question (cooling system)

Could some smart person send me a diagram showing how the water pressure relief valve on my Mariner 60, 3 cylinder, is assembled. There is a diaphragm and several plastic thingies and a rubber thingy and a spring and a screw. I think I know how it goes but I have never seen one. I have a new kit and am ready to assemble it. You can e-mail it to me at my web site service@polari.com.

Could some really smart person also draw a digram of how the pressure relief valve is supposed to work. I sure can't figure it out. There must be pressure on the diaphragm, opening a valve against the spring, redirecting the water flow somewhere.

Regards,
JC
