I was installing my motor on my new cmc bracketand over-tightened the clamps and the bracketbroke(I know I’m an idiot). I threw some jb weld on it in a rush to fix it but can this be welded? is there a good, cheap fix? Like drilling and adding a bolt threw it? Or putting a c-clamp on it to hold it together? Do I need to worry about it? It’s bolted on the bottom of the bracket. What can I do to cheaply fix it?BEA45460-5509-4603-A189-9EAE7EBD6395.jpeg

JB weld wont do a thing but make the guy that has to weld it pissed because he has to clean the JB weld off. JB weld has only a few hundred PSI strength. the aluminum is roughtly 26000 psi for A356 cast aluminum

remove the motor
remove the clamp assembly from the motor
take it to a competent welder and have welded.
reinstall on motor

or

remove the motor
remove the clamp assembly
buy new to you used clamp assembly
install new to you clamp assembly
