I just purchased a boat with a 220 efi motor. The previous owner said it overheated and shut off. He couldnt figure it out. I found a few issues and now it tries to start but wont stay running. The alarm is going off constantly. Im assuming over heat. It has a new temp sensor. Is it just a warning or will it shut the engine off? According to the manual if you disconnect temp sensor the alarm should stop but it dont. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
