Mariner 15hp 2 stroke id

Hi all I have just acquired a mariner 15hp 2 stroke I believe by the mark on the powerhead casting it to be a yamaha based mariner . Its lost its metal I'd tag on the clamp bracket is there any serial numbers hiding on the powerhead I can use to find the year and model ? If this helps it has points ignition system so I'm assuming its an early model . I'd like to get it up and running as powerhead has good compression and is surprisingly clean with no significant corrosion there is some corrosion on the leg where paint has flaked but again nothing serious . It is in quite good overall condition be good to see it up and running and being used rather than scrapped

Post a picture of the cowling - someone should identify it by the colors. I think Mariners came along when breakerless ignition was standard.
