Marine vs Automotive Water Pump.

Is there any reason one can't use a automotive water pump if you are running a closed cooling system?

if its a standard 350 Chevy it will most likely fit.

It's a OMC Ford 302. My understanding was the only differences were the bushing and impellar material. Built to take the abuse of corrosive conditions.

I think you're OK if it's a closed system. It's a cheap part anyways, and easy to replace if you want to change later.
