I dont want to use a split screen for sonar and naviagtion..I want a full screen for navigation!!!

i already have a fish finder anyway...

Id want at least a 5" screen and id want as much underwater detail as possible on the coastal waters of the NORTHEAST..

i dont care too much about satelite photos or gas stations, or pump out stations!!

just real good channel markings and navigation aids...so i can motor in the fog or at night....

Id really LIKE to keep in under $600 if possible....

but recomendations and screen size go a long way to making me pay more!!!!

the bigger the screen the more I can see...

i dont need radar though!!!!

so just GPS chartplotters

thanks

If you can find a Raymarine A65 you'll be happy.
I have one, and bought the optional sounder so I can do split screen fishfinder/chartplotter. Or one or the other fullscreen.

I paid $299 shipped for the chartplotter alone, great little unit!

It takes certain Navionics chips, it came with a silver coastal chart, which works for me as I'm on the Chesapeake. The Platinum looks nice, but it's not available for the A65, which was discontinued last year. 2 years ago it was 1500 bucks IIRC!.
Check Navionics site for chip compatibilities.
I'd be surprised if you find anyone with A65's in stock though.
