Hi, was interested in installing fuel injection on my chevy 350 i/o alpha one.

Was looking at several different systems, and I think this site is the cheapest... anybody have any experience with these people? I have emailed them several times as I was putting a system together from a mid 80's corvette TPI for an older truck that I was going to put on my boat but don't think it would fit because the thermostat housing etc wouldn't fit. THey have been most helpful and I think the system would probably work well. Although I did want the long tube runner design of the TPI, the system they offer in their MPFI would probably still give me a torque/ HP increase, as well as better driveability.

http://www.affordable-fuel-injection.com/

Re: Marine fuel injection

If you got the bucks I'd go for it. This site doesn't do you much good if you have a SBF however. I also didn't see anything regarding the tuning of the system. I doubt you can use an oxygen sensor with the kit. I think they are less money than the Holley systems.

Re: Marine fuel injection

I believe they tune using map sensors only (vacuum) to measure the AFR. Looks decent, supposedly they provide tech support during the install.

Would be good for people wanting to convert their old points to modern electronic ignition as well since they include a new distributor and ECM etc.

I think I may give it a try. Still deciding...would love to hear feedback from anybody actually using their MPFI. It looks like they take a regular carbed intake manifold and just modify it to use fuel rails and injectors, then place a throttle body where the carb used to be. Should fit right into the boat since it is pretty much the same set up as I have now....
