I need too purchase a Deep Cycle Marine battery for my 12 ft boat.
The main usage will be my Motorguide Trolling Motor.
I will also have an aerator, Cuda Fishfinder and Running Lights.
Aerator will be turned on and off throughout the day but will not stay running. The fish finder will stay on im sure and running lights will be rarely used.
Can someone give me an Idea of what may be best too purchase?

Thanks
Wally

Re: Marine Battery

Well it seems that many have posts on Batteries and dont wish too reply too this post. All good.
Im seeing alot about what battery , However the actual question I have is how do I determine the Deep Cycle Amps that I want?
Cold Start and what not.
Cold start shouldnt matter cause I have nothing that needs too start with this battery, am I correct here?
So main question is for a long lasting battery of a day trolling what is the suggestion for Amps?

Cold Cranking Amps are a way of measuring sustained output at a given discharge rate- not what you need for the trolling motor.

Second - you didn't state the trolling motor you have. So other than speculation by experience, no one can know this answer because different trolling motors have different current requirements.

Finally, the biggest deep cycle you can get would be the one I would buy if you are planning to be out all day. But that doesn't consider the actual current draw- you might need two batteries, or one might be enough.

But without more info there isn't a way to answer this well. While it is a fairly basic question, probably why no one responded is because there is not an easy answer.
