I need help! My 2001 Evenrude 50 horse, 4 stroke has been diagnosed as needing the above. I purchased an extended warranty from Pinnicle but have been denied a claim on replacement of the above parts. Can anyone tell me exactly what they do and any reason they wouldn't be covered under an extended warranty? I'm really pissed and am ready to go to war. The marina doing the repair is sympathetic and also doesn't understand. The warranty outfit is claiming non coverage because they aren't specifically listed in the "covered parts" although everything else mechanical and electrical is!
Please help!
Bob

Re: MAPP Sensor & Post Limiter

well the mapp sensor may or may not be considered a wear and tear item. most extended warrenties are not factory but basic third party insurance papers. most I deal with dont cover much other than major powerhead failures. most have in the fine print about if not specifically included its excluded. friend of mine bought a "bumper to bumper" extened warrenty on a 2000 model ford 4WD. the transfer case blew and he found the warrenty did not cover it.
