I have a 91' Johnson 150 loop 60. Noticed many on this board has surging, missing, stalling, whatever makes it run bad problems.
I had all this and more. I focused on fuel
problems, wrong. All problems were solved by changing the Power-Pac. Runs better than when new. Just thought some would like to
here this.

Sandy....

It's nice to hear some things never change.

I've mentioned in here a number of times the problems a buddy of mine used to have with his 1969 Johnson 115 hp. That thing would run like nobody's business until the power pack began to act up. Seems the symptoms were never the same though... It's like you said..."whatever makes it run bad problems" were often the result of the power pack going bad. In the 15 years he owned it, I think he replaced the PP three or four times.

Thanks for the reminder that power packs can still cause a whole host of different problems...

Walt

I've struggled with my Evinrude 70hp VRO for sometime.

I have repeated JB's hairdyer trick three time now (see post earlier )

A couple more goes and I'll be convinced a new powerpack is the only answer
