Just purchased a 16' aluminum boat with a 1994 48spl johnson. The engine is a manuel tilt with a locking hydraulic cylinder. Possible to convert this to a power tilt by adding a motor to existing cylinder or would it take a replacement of everything? Control has the power tilt button already incorporated in it, would just have to be wired. Thanks for any info you might have.

You would need eveything. What you have can't be converted.

There is a aftermarket brand, CMC I think is the name. I've seen it on Iboats Mega Mall. I've been thinking about getting one.
