manifolds

hey guys i recently had my 454 prof rebuilt for my 23 wellcraft nova,,, i was always told new motor,new manifoldsm, can anybody tell me if GLM manifolds are any good,, or point me in the right direction to getting some. or do i even need them?? thanks,,john

The simple answer is YES you need them.
The old saying holds true for manifolds and risers as any product you purchase, "you get what you pay for". Like any product that you get that is cheaper than OEM there are just as many people who are satisfied with their manifolds as there are horror stories. So it depends on if you want to roll the dice with your new engine. Personally I would go with a dry joint system. It works great and you wont lose a minutes sleep worrying about them failing...

I have Osco on 1 engine and GLM on the other.I fresh water flush after every use and zero problems on either.Charlie

Was the boat always kept in freshwater or saltwater. ??

In freshwater they never need to be replaced. :)

My manifolds & risers are 24yrs old & they still look like new on the inside. :)
