Mando alt wiring Volvo 3.0GL

I have a 1999 volvo 3.0GL \SX leg with a mando Alternator which has been disconnected.
The loom is 6 wires

Heavy guage orange
light orange spliced off the above
Heavy guage Black
Light guage Black
Light guage red\purple
Light guage white \ purple.

Connectors are marked
B (the heavy orange is the only one that will fit this so I guess that?s good)

On the centre plastic cover are EXC and S.
Please can anyone help with the correct connection details ? I searched the net and haven't found anything suitable.
Any help very much appreciated as I'm stuck!

I don't remember any light gauge blacks on the alternator, may be an extra ground and not used.

Hi

I have the same wiring problem on a 2001 Larson 186 Sei. But two of the wires are a different colour.
Instead of the red/purple and white/purple I have a grey and a brown .

Wondered if you can help please ?
