Man Suing Wally-World over Wifes Abduction and Murder WTF??

Heard on the radio this AM a guy is suing WW over parking lot security. Seems this guy’s wife was abducted (kidnapped) from a Wally-World parking lot prior being killed. The guy now wants 10 Million Dollars from WW for not making sure its parking lots are secure from kidnappers and murders. WTF kind of a BS law suit is this?????? What kind of MORON Lawyer would bring this case to court, IMO the Judge should throw the case out and fine the Plaintiff and his legal counsel for wasting the courts time and money!!!!

Yeah, its BS alright....down here folks that took advantage of FEMA and Redcross money that really didnt need it are getting hauled in to court, fined, and made to pay restitution. I wish they'd lock them up ! !

He found a lawyer, or the lawyer found him, that expects that WM will settle rather than fight it out in court and collect a lot of bad publicity.<br /><br />Seems a lot like extortion to me: "Give me money or I will cost you bazillions in court."<br /><br />Another case to support the proposal that the loser, plaintiff or defendant, pays the winner.

When you consider that if there is a 10 brazillion dollar settlement the lawyer with likely get at least 4 brazillion dollars plus whatever he considers expenses. How's that for incentive.

We should not judge until we get all the facts and talk radio is surely not believed to present all the information. I am not saying I support the lawsuit, just that with info we have we may be a bit hasty in our judgement. That is what this country is all about.

Should have labeled this as a rant............Just finished my "civic duty" a few weeks back, so hearing the radio report kind of set me off. Three wasted days on a BS "States negligence" case. Took the jury a whole 3 min to agree the plaintiff was a looser looking to blame the state for his dumb-a$$ mistake/accident. We spent more time discussing the fact the case should have NEVER been brought it trial in the first place, than the case it’s self.

Those cases exist also and I am sure you gave him the justice he deserved. OJ got off but I would still grade our trial by jury way above any other. How would it be to go before a Saddam jury and being innocent.

During VN the standard was kill em all let God sort out the innocent. Often there was no choice. Here we have a choice and the courts do a good job overall. We just hear about the ones that go bad. Peterson got his and there are many more.

More to it than that, we do not know who, what, how, time, guards on duty or off, drinking lots of other potential things could be involved. I just think without all the facts no one should make a decision.

I agree that whatever truth there is is likely (but not guaranteed) to come out in court, txs.<br /><br />My point is that it would be cheaper for WM to settle out of court that to try the case and win. . . that it wont get to court.<br /><br />If the plaintiff in this case were prepared to pay 10 megabux, or the equivalent portion of his assets, to WM if he loses, he might well withdraw.<br /><br />In some states, I think, WM could countersue for frivolous prosecution, but that would also cost more than they could recover.<br /><br />While the Civil Courts are set up to protect the little guy from others' negligence or ill will, there is precious little protection the other way around.

Since when does wallmart guard their parking lots? I've never seen a guard in a wallmart parking lot. Am I missing something here? I can't see how it would be wallmarts fault, period.

All walmarts here in the Houston area have security patrolling the lot in a golf cart.<br /><br />One shoplifter here died of a hear tattack after wal mart security chased him and tackled him. He weighed about 400 lbs.<br /><br />Right here in Baytown, a woman was shot in the wal mart parking lot. They think it was a gang initiation thing. The woman survived, but the bullet messed he up pretty bad.<br /><br />Ken
