When Wakatoa was about 6 years old his uncle Trev built himself a really nice 10 ft wood dinghy.<br />Wakatoa was allowed to go for little rides in it close to the beach and from the time he saw it he wanted nothing else but a boat just like that.<br />He kept asking uncle Trev to build one for him ''when you're 12 I'll build one for you'' uncle Trev promised.<br />When Wakatoa turned 12 he was onto uncle Trev immediately, ''Have you finished building my boat yet uncle Trev?''<br />Lots of mumbling and excuse making and mother consoling me.<br />35 years later - I still haven't got that boat yet, uncle Trev must have forgotten about it. I think he said something about the price of special boat building wood going up.
