being a hockey official I gotta say I love fights, 9 times out of ten these brawls in a hockey game have absolutely nothing to do with hockey though, I have been a part of 3 bench clearing brawls and 2 of them were for incidents that happened off the ice and we never saw it coming, the third.....that was a for gone conclusion, we had 4 officials on the ice(2 referees and 2 linesman) and four off with skates on, worst kept secret ever LOL, both teams were so mad at the officials afterwards we had a double forfeit, they were mad that they didn't get their brawl so they decided they didn't want to play anymore, of course there were only enough to play 5 on 5 with goalies after we threw everyone else out, hehehehehehe

I played lacrosse in college and not once did a fight break out. I broke a guys ribs and after the game he congratulated me on the hit ...
