Maintenance Light

1996 Seadoo GTX Newly re-built motor and converted to pre-mix. When starting, a code flashes "MAINT" which I assume is a reminder to do maintenance on something. I do not have an owners manual for this and do not know for sure what this means. What does this mean,? is it a predetermined hour code, or it sensor triggered. And if it comes on after a certain hour, how can I reset it.

It happens to me when it takes more than a few seconds to start the motor. I tend to ignore it, since it only happens when the motor is cold

Well sorry but I couldn't get logged in to save my life, hold down the mode and set button at the same time with the key plugged in, it's just a nuisance light preprogrammed to go on at certain intervals like every 10 hours .
