maintaining wood floor

we have a new to us 1996 1700 (with an 04 125 merc) - just wondering if there was anything special we should do to maintain the wood floor?

Congrats on your purchase.

Does your floor have carpet or vinyl on it ?

Carpet absorbs the water and the vinyl will pretty much shed it to the sides and rear.

You would have to remove the flooring to make it last. Make sure you store it inside or covered with good ventilation.

Should have mentioned it is carpeted.

Just do your best to keep in dry when not in use. Don't cover your boat if the interior is still wet.
