I've been trying to buy a main relay replacement for my engine. The original part number from my engine is 38580-ZW5-004 and according to honda parts that part number was replaced with 06380-ZW5-000. I've ordered part number 06380-ZW5-000 from 2 different dealers and the box I receive has that number on it but the relay in the box is stamped with 38580-ZW5-014. I tried both relays and the motor turns over but will not start. I put my old relay back on and it starts right up but the fuel pump will not turn off when I turn off the key - why I need a new relay.
I even found the part listed on one site and if you zoom into the picture of the part it clearly has 38580 stamped on it rather than the number it is advertised as: https://www.boats.net/product/honda/06380-ZW5-000
Any idea how to get the correct part number? I'm wondering if Honda had a mix-up with part numbers and boxes.
