Magneto Wiring question.

Hello,

Recently, I have to replace the old broken wires from Ignition Key switch to Magneto coils. It seems that those two wires from Magneto should be connected to M and Raised M on the Ignition switch on another end. My question is, can those two wires be connected randomly to either M or Raise M on the key switch?

Yes. either M terminal will work the same. What the ignition switch does it short out the two M terminals on the switch to kill the engine when in the off position.

Here, this is for an older engine but is virtually the same.
