Who do i find out who many poles i have on my alternator(stator)<br /><br />4 - 12 Poles<br /><br />86 Johnson 60hp vro<br /><br />M#J60TLCD

Count the magnets in the flywheel, each magnets has 2 poles. Your engine tach should be set on 6.
