Anyone using it?. Apparently the 'Plus' allows you to plug it into your router so you don't even have to have the computer on.

Yup, works just like they say it does, no computer needed, have had two regular magic jacks for quite a while now, and this is better.

So the logical next step is magicjack wall where it uses power over ethernet and you just plug it into the wall? If not I need to go run out and patent that real quick.

I have magic jack, i had spotty issues but I think it was more my pc's USB port...haven't used it in a while but I still renew the subscription for some reason. I did make sure to update my 911 when I moved however, for the JUST IN CASE....

Connect a wireless base station Panasonic phone with 2 other wireless handsets, 1 in the garage 1 in the living room and the base in the office by the router and your all set!

Kory,

No, you don't just plug it into the wall, you need to plug it into your router, as long as you have a broadband connection, you can use the Telephone, is is just another way to use VOIP, why do people try to make this so confusing? This is simply another VOIP system, it has worked for me, your mileage may vary. Now the way we work with the magic jack is, it is forwarded to our home phone all of the time so our family can call us with no long distance charges, when we are on the road the home phone is forwarded to our cell, no charges..

My experience with VOIP with multiple phones is pretty lousy. Really bad clipping if more than 1 extra line on a conference call and sound quality is poor. Normal calls aren't too bad but you can tell that it's VOIP.

Did Vonage for a few years, and have been running a Magic Jack (normal one) for three years now. Works like a champ.

If you're running a VOIP, make sure you have a direct connection to the computer itself. The ones that i've worked with don't do well going through a router. Might be different with the new Magic Jack plus.
