Re: Magazines To Our Soldiers

You have a few options for that nice gesture.

You can get in contact with the local National Guard or Reserve Unit and ask for the Operations or Unit Coordinator. You could send the magazines to a specific unit in a box and send it media or flat rate (you can ship alot that way).

You can ship them to a VA Hosp stateside or even to a military medical facility to the hospital librarian.

Before I retired when I was acitve duty that was the best place to dispose of magazines... leave them in waiting rooms at the hospitals. Soldiers even find Northern tool, cabelas, red head catalogs good to browse. Since I am a VA patient ..... I drag along my magazines there.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Found a 1997 issue of Car and Driver in my Doc's waiting room last week. :)

Gonna take her some up-to-date stuff next time.
