Need to buy a 3 blade alum15 pitch prop for a M70C motor. Does the prop comes along with the hub kit or needs to be purchased separately ?

If you get the Rubex prop, it needs the hub kit.

Is the Rubex prop the OEM prop factory delivered with those motors ? Motor and prop are far away as to have a look. Compared to 18 HP parts cost, it's expensive at near $ 225.00 for both shipmemt excluded. Is there a traditional same prop with vulcanized internal hub to look for like Solas or any other prop brand. Thanks.

As far as I know, for the obsolete 70C, that Rubex is the only prop Tohatsu sells for it. If you do not have the Rubex prop on it now, you will need the hub kit.

Was checking Iboats Solas props. They only list 70TDLI through hub exhaust 15 tooth splines and confusing 70HP. Are the props for the 70TLDI model and the M70C same in tooth splines, 15 count ? Would preffer to buy a vulcanized hub prop and not a rubex type one....

What's the advantage if any going for one with 15 pitch 13.40 diam, with 90 deg angled blades as in pic.

or a 15 pitch 13.50 diam with Mickey Mouse rounded blades as in pic.

Which model should achieve slight more wot rpm ? A 15 pitch is the standard OEM prop pitch factory delivered with said motor, will be good for a light to medium light application. Should run at least middle wot rpm range. We're just restoring what came factory installed with and with no intention whatsoever to run a wot test with a tach and attempt a prop maximization If going for any of them, will need to instal a forward thrust washer right ?

9999RUBA315MPROP, RUBEX ALUM D3, 13.5 DIA. X 15 PITCH, 3-BLADE (SEE NOTE)$111.00

comes with everything except for the nut, washer and cotter that holds it on.

Diameter is irrelevant. There is NO standard pitch; when ordering a larger motor, must select pitch that will ship with it. You can also get a 13 pitch.

Thanks Paul,

Does Iboats sell those ? As this motor has not been water tached at wot, would prefer to stick with a 15 pitch, if going per a 13 wot revs will surely go up a lot and without a installed tach could be extremely dangerous if motor over revs highly than its max 5850 wot rpm range. Don't know if this motor has a rev limiter, it's a tiller version, manual trim motor ?

Other issue, found a Tohatsu OEM 8.5 pitch prop offered for a 4 strokes 18 HP motor, assume that's same prop for the 2 strokes Tohatsu 18 HP motor, right ? As this pitch is getting scarce, will be good to go for a new spare one.

iBoats is not a Tohatsu dealer.
The 4-stroke 18 prop is:
362B641030PROPELLER (8) 3 X 9.25 X 8 (F9.9/15/20)$68.78

However, the same pitch for a 2-stroke is:
362B641030PROPELLER (8) 3 X 9.25 X 8 (F9.9/15/20)$68.78

Sp YES, it will interchange.

Thanks Paul,

Good to know that will interchange. Was wondering why Tohatsu doesn't offer a 8.5 pitch in their other portable models besides the 18 HP motor. The 8.5 is an excellent performer when running a 18 HP on a larger and heavier bost intended for a much larger HP motor.
