Just purchased a slightly used craft, with a Tohatsu 70 HP on it. I do not have a repair manual yet, but will get one. But I am the type person that when I get anything, I read all of the literature that comes with it, and I do have the owners manual, from the previous owner. The certificate of title for it list it as a 1998 Tohatsu model M70BEP, but in the owners manual, they list the 70B EF, which I know I do not have, and the 70B EFO, 70B EFTO, 70B EPO, and the 70B EPTO. Can anyone tellme which one I have? It is 11:15, and dark, and I have the outfit docked at my dock in front of the house, but I may be able to compare drawings in the manual to the motor in the morning and figure it out. I am thinking (looking at the diagrams in the manual) it is the 70B EPTO. I have power trim and tilt. I would appreciate if someone could dicipher these different model numbers for me. Thanks in advance for your troubles.
