M25c3 lower unit compatibility

Was wondering what all lower units would fit a m25c3, mine decided to lock up on me. I have a lead on one that came off a 30hp engine, but im not exactly sure of the model. I know its blue, if that matters.

The LU from an M30A3 will interchange.

Yep, both 25-30 LU are exact same, the 25 HP is a detuned version of the 30 HP.

I know the lower units from the 30s for the same year will fit. I'm talking about which other year models will fit. The foot I'm looking at is an older one, not sure of the year or model, Its blue in color, so I know its quite a bit older.

As Paul says, year is irrelevant, model is all, so a M25C3 is compatible with a M30A3 & M30A4 (newer version). Just for peace of mind which M30 model was the donor of LU ?

I don't know, they guy just knows it came off a 30 hp. Thats why I'm asking, cause from what I've gathered, the blue colored motors are old. And if the older motors won't work with mine, no sense wasting money.

If seller is near, would it be possible to try it on ? Color is relative, used to have the older Dark Grey 18 HP version, the newer ones are Dark. But both are same model with different manufacturing years.
