Every fall I put my numerous lures to bed til spring. Usually I will put my five boxes in a dark corner in the Garage..

I pulled them out yesterday and lo and behold i found about twenty or more than I had from last fall..

Went into the house and proudly proclaimed to herself that my possessions had been practicing the hey nanny nanny during the winter..and that I was up about 20 or so lures and one of the tackle boxes had brought a new one into the world to.

For some reason she didn't believe me..Am I wrong don't lures reproduce in the winter? I know in the spring when they are spawning they are real easy to catch.

I do know this that there are no two lures alike..I think they are cross breeding..

Now I have to explain to her how I just aquired fifty more lures and two poles in my business mail box today..

gonfishn,

You've been testing the water too long and just need to take the plunge.

Here's how getting that new tackle and baits in the door works soooooooo easy in just a few simple steps.................

1. You tell wifie you're going down to the hardware store to get some parts to fix her leaky kitchen faucet and then plan on stopping by the sporting goods store to pick up a few hooks and bobbers. Be sure to take along your cash stash and the mental shopping list to fill a shopping cart up with all your seasonal necessities. After making your careful tackle selection and payment, ask the cashier to sell you a piece of small paper for a $5.00 investment. You then write your name and phone number on the paper and ask the cashier to pull the piece of paper out of your hat to proclaim you the monthly tackle raffle winner and call your home asking for you and leaving the message with wifie you just won the raffle. Then ask for a box and have them tape it up with your name written on it and leave it behind the checkout counter.

2. When you get home with the small package of hardware, hooks, and bobbers, wifie will bless you with some wonderful news.

3. You and wifie hurry back to the store and claim your prize! Gee, just what you (and her) needed.

4. Don't forget to take wifie out for dinner to celebrate your good fortune on the way home !

You may have to tailor it somewhat for your basic needs but you get the picture of how it works.

Pk..You sound like a man who has been there and done that..Like your idea though, but as most here know I am dangerous with a screw driver..A hardware store won't fly with her..

Have to blame this one on one of my Musky Partners..He came into the store with his wife to see my new digs..His wife came in to and fell in love with one of my rhythm clocks...

My wholesale cost was about 150 bucks..he wanted to barter and he enticed me with some Musky lures(he has about fifteen tackle boxes filled with all kind of goodies)..

I ended up getting two Fenwick seven footers and about 46 lures..18 grandmas(one Purple)about 20 monster shads and an assortment of stick baits..
Will never use all of them but how could I turn em down...Its a disease I tell ya and I can't kick the habit..

Bubba I can only fit three tackle boxes into my ride for our up coming trip..I know,I know it only takes one but which one do you choose..So I take an arsenal just in case.. :D
