Just received a new Mepps catalog and a new Mister Twister catalog. Which reminded me, I was ordering some lures the other day from Cabelas and got sidetracked.
I saw one lure in Mepps that I liked and the lure came with three Mister Twister trailers, which, at the bottom of the page could be purchased separately....but...being the genius that I am........That Mister Twister catalog was right next to me, thought I'd just buy extra trailers from the "source" and save a few cents.
Before I did this, I went to Cabela website to finish my initial order of lures.
Once there, I saw where they were had the Mepps lure I wanted and the Mister Twister trailers as well.
Here's the breakdown, rounding the numbers.
Mepps sells their own product for $5.00
Mepps sells Mister Twister (4pk) for $2.50
Mister Twister sells their own product (4pk) for $3.50
Cabelas sells Mepps product for $3.50
Cabelas sells Mister Twister (25pk) for $4.00
I do understand "how that works" with bulk, dealer, etc....but, Seems like stepping on your own toes to spend that much money sending out catalogs to advertise that fact.....???
