Some time ago I ask this forum if anyone new anything about a Lund Pontoon. At the time I was waiting to take possession of the boat (it was stored in a warehouse and I could get to it). Well I finally have the boat and as promised way back then - here are a few pictures:

I have new vinyl on the way to start the re-upholstery project:

I've been going through the motor slowly - it hasn't run since 2002 but only had less than 50 hours on it total:

There are seats at each corner identical to the helm seat - I just have them off right now (still winter here):

I am still trying to learn how many were made - they were only produced in 1993 & 94. So far Lund has either been unwilling to tell me or truly can't figure it out. I do have a copy of a flyer from then which shows both the "Angler" series which is what I have and the "Explorer" which was their more traditional model.

I will post more pictures after I complete the upholstery and take the maiden voyage.
The upholstery is going to take longer than I thought because I am going to have to remove the metal sheeting on the bottom side to access the nuts holding down the furniture.

If any one knows of another Lund Pontoon please let me know. Thanks Jon

Re: Lund Pontoon

From what I see, in the 2 years that they made toons, they made the Angler and Explorer models in 1994. They also made the Angler, along with the Executive and Chairman models in 1995. I don't know how many were made during that time though

Re: Lund Pontoon

I appreciate the reply - I had really started to think there just weren't any others out there. Were you ever able to get any idea about how many were made. Since writing that post I have been busily trying to bring mine back to life. I have reupholstered about half of it and will continue that effort (it is proving to be a real chore but I am trying to keep it as close to original as a novice can. The motor is finally ready (in fact it gets a final tune up tomorrow morning in hopes of a test ride on Sunday). Still waiting on an electric trolling motor so I can see if it catches fish. Planning to modify the front gate once I receive the motor - did you mount a trolling motor? If so a picture would be great.

What power do you have on yours?

The fishing chairs at the four corners seem more for show than go so I am considering leaving them off so the front deck and the back storage decks will be better casting areas. What has been your experience. Also, the wind screen on the helm station says you need to remove when trailering - has that been your experience.

Probably will come up with other questions as time goes by - again thanks - Jon
