Lund Fury 1600 SS rod holders

Hello All...

Just bought a 1600 Fury SS.. What rod holders are you all using on this thing ?? (i miss gunwales already !!)

I bought 4 Scotty clamp on's but really don't like the way they sit...

I had down easters for the first year and hated the way they clamped on. I use the Scotty's with extensions now and have 8 bases on the boat.

So how'd you mount them ?? just along the top of the rod lockers ? (not on the doors of course.)

Bases mount with 4 bolts to a flat surface. I have caught everything from 2" minnows to 48" musky using these. Flexible enough to not be broken off, very tough. I have 4 at the stern for trolling, 2 at the bow for drifting or boards, and 2 amidship for drifting. I could easily use 2 more on each side. Get a 4 pack and buy extra bases for where you want them. 6" extensions are extra. I really like what these do for me and I use them to hold my duck blind. These are perfect for 1.5" PVC!

That's awesome.. That's what I need to do... I'll order up some extensions and get em mounted..

No. All I replced was from the console forward. I had a rotten spot where one of the screws were to hold the deck down.
i wiil probably need to do the rest over next winter.
