As I am getting my ducks in a row to install the heads and intake on a 2006 5.0 MPI I had a couple questions. My first question is about the lubriplate called out on page 3A-26 in the service manual. Is there an alternate or is this the only recommended lube for the pushrods and rocker arm and pivot? I haven’t found it for sale in small amounts anywhere.

The second question is about the Loctite 5900 RTV sealant called out on page 3A-36. Will one tube get the job done for sealing the ends of the intake? The stuff isn’t cheap so I was curious what quantity would get the job done.

Thank you

Any assembly lube can be used, what ever is available locally will work fine.
one caulk tube of 5900 will work .

Thanks guys. It looks like the Loctite 5900 is pretty spendy but does a great job from what I have found. How deflating would it be to put it all back together and have it fail from cheap gasket maker.
