Lubricant for needle bearings

I am rebuilding a Merc V-6 150 HP engine. The Merc shop manual recommends using Quicksilver 2-4-c lubricant with teflon when reassembling the wrist pins and needle bearings.

The websites I have checked (Boaters world, West marine) indicate that Quicksilver 2-4-c lubricant with teflon should NOT  be used on needle bearings????

Should I just use 2 cycle oil on the needle bearings when reassembling the pistons and connecting rods?

Thank you.

If you can't get the merc part # then use 2 cycle oil. Do not subsititute with automotive assembly lube unless you own stock in NGK. Whatever you end up using it must be fuel soluable. Stalubes assembly lube is not.
