Lube Gun Question

I know you guys will have the answer for me so thanks for all the help ahead of time. My old 69 Johnson used a quart or less of lube in the gear case. Now I have a brand new 2007 Mercury 25 horse and it seems to use more 1 quart of gear lube.

Anyway I would like a gun that I can load tubes or containers of gear lube and screw the gun into the bottom of the gear case and put the lube in and change the gun inserting a new container or tube until it comes out the top screw. I have a grease gun but I would like something that fits my boat motor screw and I won?t leek lube all over my garage floor starting a new tube.

Thanks for the help

Re: Lube Gun Question

when you do the way you are suggesting is you buy the gear lube in quart bottles, there is the pump made to do just what you want to do. walmart has them in the oil dept, with the SuperTech oils. the Clymer manual, is suppose to be used, to keep the oil off the garage floor. that's all they are good for. iboats also has a good one. http://www.iboats.com/Lubrimatic_Lo...17073074--**********.514237899--view_id.47675

Funny, I thought that is what the Seloc manual was for.

Oh, no, now I remember. The Seloc manual is so you have something to kneel on when you are attaching/detaching the lower unit!
